The Origin Experience, from February 28th to March 7th, 2026, is for everyone who works with coffee daily and truly wants to understand it – without romanticizing it or using marketing jargon.
What it's really about: We don't show the glossy facade, but the real work, tough decisions, and economic complexity behind every bean. You'll learn to classify coffee and confidently explain quality and price to your guests.
Practical experience on the farm: Experience the harvest and different processing methods as part of real everyday work.
Sensory analysis at the source: Take part in cuppings directly on site and learn how green coffee is evaluated.
Honest Trading: Gain insights into why "Direct Trade" is more complicated than often portrayed and how prices are really formed.
We start in Medellín to place Colombia in its historical and social context and to analyze current trends in local coffee shops.
