Reusable packaging
from Ocean Package
Sustainability doesn't end with the coffee for us – it also applies to the journey to you. That's why we offer customers in Germany the option of receiving their order in reusable packaging from Ocean Package : a closed-loop system that consistently avoids packaging waste.
What makes the packaging special?
Ocean Package's reusable box is made from 100% polypropylene (PP) – a plastic that is fully recyclable and produces about 95% less waste compared to conventional single-use cardboard.
What's particularly noteworthy is that over 20% of the material used comes from so-called Ocean-Stopped material – plastic that was collected near the coast before it could enter the ocean. Every use of the box therefore actively contributes to reducing marine litter.
Another advantage over paper: Recycling cardboard requires up to 50 liters of water per kilogram . Recycling the PP plastic used requires no water.
How does shipping work?
1. Select
During the ordering process, simply select reusable packaging under "Shipping" – provided that all items in your order are suitable for this shipping method and the total weight does not exceed 6 kg . The system will automatically display the option if this is the case.
2. Receive & use
Your order will arrive in a sturdy, reusable box. This box can be used for up to 20 shipping cycles before being removed from circulation and fully recycled.
3. Return
A pre-printed return label is included with your delivery. Simply drop off the empty box at your local parcel service provider's location at the next opportunity – at no extra cost. This starts the cycle again, and you won't generate any packaging waste at home.
