The intelligent water filter
Coffee is 98% water. To achieve a perfect result, the water must therefore be of impeccable quality. With CLARIS Smart+, JURA is revolutionizing water filtration. For the first time, a fully automatic coffee machine* communicates constantly with the filter using modern RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology. It detects the presence of a filter and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It continuously collects information about filter usage and indicates when the filter is exhausted. This makes changing the filter easier than ever, allowing CLARIS Smart+ to operate at peak efficiency.
CLARIS Smart was developed for vending machines equipped with the Intelligent Water System (IWS®).
TÜV-certified hygiene for consistently perfect coffee
The independent international testing institute TÜV Rheinland has awarded JURA the certificate for the microbiological safety of its coffee machines. This certificate, awarded according to extremely strict criteria, proves that JURA-certified cleaning products, precisely tailored to electronically controlled programs, guarantee the TÜV-certified cleanliness and hygiene of all JURA coffee machines.
Limescale: A source of problems and a taste killer
When water is heated, limescale deposits form. This reduces the diameter of the pipes, which lengthens heating times, increases energy consumption, and can even lead to total machine failure. Limescale also affects the taste of coffee. In small amounts, it acts as an important flavor enhancer. On the other hand, a high limescale content in the water leads to an unpleasant aftertaste and thus, along with temperature fluctuations, prevents the optimal development of the coffee aromas.
