“VonFürTrier” is an important element in this. It's a joint project fund of the Trier World Shop, the local Agenda, and the Mondo del Caffè coffee roastery. This fund recently distributed the €2,000 it raised in 2022, splitting it equally between an orphanage in Colombia and the Trier-based association “Bildung fördern Entwicklung” (Education Promotes Development).
The orphanage was co-founded by one of our coffee producers in Colombia, Juan Saldarriaga.
Some of you may be familiar with his coffee “Trierer Stadtkaffee”, and this project coffee helps to raise some of the donations for the project fund.
The association “Education Promotes Development” was founded to promote the education of young people in Kenya and supports the young people with funding and commitment.
