Flavor profile
This exceptional Arabica green coffee from the Yellikodige Estate in South India impresses with a balanced and complex flavor profile. Depending on the roast, the following aromas develop:

Apricot – fruity, sweet

Cocoa bean – bitter depth with roasted aromas

Cane sugar – mild, caramel-like sweetness

Balanced fruit notes – clearly structured and elegant

Due to its clear, clean cup profile, this coffee is suitable for both fruity filter roasts and mild, chocolatey espresso variations.

Origin & Cultivation
The coffee comes from the Nilgiri Mountains region of southern India – an area with ideal conditions for high-quality specialty coffee. It is grown by the Ekata Cooperative, a community of small farms that operate biodynamically according to the strict guidelines of the Demeter Association.

This high altitude and the microclimate with abundant rain, sun and fertile soils promote the slow ripening of the coffee cherries – and thus the development of the diversity of aromas.

Sustainability & Quality

  • Demeter-certified organic coffee
  • No use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers
  • Promoting biodiversity and soil health
  • Social projects and fair conditions for the cooperative members
  • Sustainable value creation in the region

These principles result in a high-quality raw coffee that is convincing both in terms of taste and ecologically.

Harvest & Processing
The harvest is done by hand, with careful selection of ripe cherries. Processing takes place using the fully washed method (wet processing).

  • Separation from the pulp
  • Thorough washing
  • Drying in the sun on drying beds

This method promotes a clear flavor profile, brings out fruity nuances and guarantees excellent bean quality.
