Flavor profile
The Rwanda Kamajumba washed green coffee impresses with a balanced and complex flavor profile that can unfold particularly clearly depending on the roasting:
- Lime – lively and fresh, citrusy, with a delicate acidity and freshness
- Cocoa – deep, sweet and bittersweet notes of dark chocolate
- Nutty – fine, warm nuances of hazelnut, almond or walnut
The combination of citrus freshness, a sweet-bitter backbone, and warm nuttiness results in a pleasantly well-rounded cup with an elegant body. Ideal for filter coffee or light espresso variations.
Origin & Cultivation
The coffee comes from western Rwanda, from the Kivubelt Coffee Cooperative on the shores of Lake Kivu. The high-altitude location with fertile volcanic soils creates ideal conditions for growing high-quality Arabica coffee. The coffee grows in the shade of native vegetation and is cultivated using sustainable methods.
