Recipes:

Classic Matcha:

Seven
Pour 1-2 bamboo spoons of matcha through the powder sieve into the bowl. This will prevent lumps.

Add water
Pour approximately 60–70 ml of hot water (approx. 80 °C) into the bowl.

Open
Whisk the matcha with a whisk in M ​​or W motions for 15–20 seconds until a fine foam is formed.

Enjoy
Pour the matcha into your cup or enjoy it directly from the bowl.

Matcha Latte:

Ingredients:

1-2 bamboo spoons (chashaku) matcha powder

60–70 ml hot water (approx. 80 °C)

150–200 ml milk or plant-based drink (e.g. oat, soy, almond)

Optional: Sweetener (e.g., agave syrup, honey, vanilla syrup)

Preparation:

Matcha seven
So that it dissolves perfectly and does not form lumps.

Pour on hot water
Add approximately 60–70 ml of water at 80 °C and whisk vigorously with the matcha whisk (chasen) until frothy – preferably in a zigzag motion (M or W).

froth the milk
Heat and froth the milk as desired (e.g. with a milk frother or steam wand).

Merge
Put the matcha into a glass or cup and pour in the frothed milk.

Optional sweetener
Now sweeten to taste – your creamy Matcha Latte is ready!

Iced Matcha Latte:

Ingredients:

1–2 bamboo spoons of matcha

60–70 ml of cold or lukewarm water

150–200 ml cold milk or plant-based drink

ice cubes

Optional: Sweetener

Preparation:

Matcha seven
It's also important to use it cold to avoid lumps.

Mix with water
Mix the matcha with cold or slightly warm water. If you don't want to use a chasen, you can also use a small milk frother or shaker.

Add ice to the glass
Fill a glass with ice cubes.

Add milk
Pour cold milk or plant-based milk onto the ice cream.

Pour over matcha
Now pour the prepared matcha over it – for the classic “layer” effect, it's best to let it run slowly over the back of a spoon.

Optionally sweeten & stir
If desired, add syrup or sweetener – stir or serve in layers.
