To help you keep track of the ordering process, we will explain the entire procedure step by step here.
Why is ordering to Switzerland a bit more complicated?
Switzerland is not a member of the European Union (EU). Therefore, special customs and tax regulations apply:
Deliveries to Germany or the EU are straightforward within the single market.
- Deliveries to Switzerland, on the other hand, are considered exports.
- When goods are imported into Switzerland, they must be cleared through customs and Swiss value added tax (import sales tax) is levied.
- At the same time, you can have the VAT paid in Germany refunded – for this we only need proof of customs clearance.
This ensures that you are not charged twice, but only pay the tax applicable in Switzerland.
This is how the ordering process works
-
Order & Billing
You can order your desired products – whether coffee, coffee machine or accessories – as usual in our online shop. The invoice will initially show the German VAT rate. -
Import into Switzerland
After delivery, you collect the goods in Switzerland and carry out the correct customs clearance. You will pay Swiss VAT. -
Provide evidence
Once customs clearance is complete, you will receive an official confirmation or import document. Please send us this proof by email. -
German VAT refund
Once we have checked your receipt, we will refund you the previously charged German VAT.

- No double taxation: You only pay Swiss VAT.
